Tips for Renting DVC Points

As we recently discussed on our blog and on our Facebook page, prices at Disney World are rising rapidly and outpacing inflation significantly. Therefor we all look for new ways to save money when planning a Disney vacation. We love to stay on site, and we prefer deluxe resorts. But we also recognize how expensive these resorts have become. Is there any way to save significant money on a deluxe resort? Thankfully, the answer is yes. For frequent visitors to Disney World who enjoy moderate and deluxe resort accommodations, joining the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is an investment worth considering. However DVC requires a significant financial investment, and arguably a time investment too. Once you commit to DVC, you will need to visit at least

San Angel Inn Review - Epcot

For nearly two decades our family has enjoyed the many excellent restaurants across the Walt Disney World resort. One restaurant we often return to is The San Angel Inn, located inside the Epcot Mexico pavilion. Disney foodies will be pleased with the quality and presentation of meals served at San Angel Inn. However it is the incredible ambiance which sets it apart from any other restaurant at Walt Disney World. We like the atmosphere so much that we rank it as one of our most-romantic restaurants at Disney World for couples. The interior of the Mexico pavilion is immersed in twilight. Even if it is high noon, one feels as if they are strolling through a Mexican village just after dusk whenever they are here.

Review: The Fountain at Disney World's Dolphin

I’m going to share a secret with you. It’s called The Fountain, and I think it is one of the best deals at Disney World for ice cream and counter service! Located in the Disney World Dolphin Resort directly across from Todd English’s Blue Zoo, The Fountain is a counter service restaurant option which has an unusually high quality to price ratio. We first discovered The Fountain last summer when we vacationed for a week at the extraordinary Dolphin. Themed after the classic diner, with hints of a 1950s soda fountain, The Fountain serves up a tasty array of sandwiches, burgers, and salads. The atmosphere is fun, with friendly servers and a laid back atmosphere. It’s nice and air conditioned, providing a great escape from

Beaches and Cream Review

Mmmmm…ice cream! I admit that ice cream may be my greatest weakness. I love it. From milk shakes to cones to sundaes, I can never get enough of it. Luckily Disney World has some fine ice cream options to choose from. One of our favorites is Beaches and Cream, located near the interface of the Yacht and Beach Clubs along the Disney Boardwalk. Beaches and Cream is a counter service restaurant themed after the 1950′s soda fountains. The restaurant offers a seating area, which contains a working jukebox. The interior is bathed in soothing aqua blues and soft corals. Old time music flows from the jukebox, while counter staff hurriedly serve guests at this popular eatery. A Full Menu Beaches and Cream is a great

Bluezoo - 5 Star Restaurant by Todd English

Most every trip we make to Walt Disney World, we like to reserve one premium meal at one of the many fine restaurants on Disney property. Restaurant options such as the Flying Fish Cafe and California Grill give tourists an opportunity to enjoy a 5-star meal in the House of Mouse. Perhaps a bit more hidden is the incredible Bluezoo restaurant, created by Todd English. Located in the beautiful Dolphin resort near the main entrance, and directly across from The Fountain, the Bluezoo is an immaculately designed restaurant with one of the top menus on Disney property. Our experience has been that because the restaurant is not located in the parks, and not prominently placed on the Boardwalk, there tends to be less competition for
